Who we are

Beach Kids Early Learning & Preschool operates two early learning campuses on the Tweed Coast in New South Wales. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, along with our obligations under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

What we collect

To enrol and care for a child we collect information including the child's name, date of birth, address, immunisation history, medical and dietary needs, court orders where relevant, and details of parents, guardians, emergency contacts and authorised collectors. We also collect Customer Reference Numbers required to administer the Child Care Subsidy.

When you enquire or request a tour, we collect the contact details and information you provide so we can respond.

Photographs and learning documentation

Educators photograph and record children's learning as part of the educational program. Enrolment includes separate permissions for use in your child's portfolio, in-centre displays, and any external use such as our website or social media. You can withdraw or change any permission at any time by telling your campus manager.

How we use information

We use personal information to educate and care for your child safely, to communicate with you, to meet regulatory and funding obligations, to administer fees and subsidies, and to manage the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone at our campuses.

Who we share it with

We disclose personal information only where necessary: to government departments and regulators where required by law, to Services Australia for subsidy administration, to emergency and medical services in an emergency, and to service providers who support our operations under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and security

Records are held securely in physical and electronic systems with access limited to people who need it. We retain records for the periods required by law and dispose of information securely afterwards.

Access, correction and complaints
