Beach Kids Early Learning & Preschool

Family owned on the Tweed Coast

A place your child belongs, from the very first morning

Beach Kids is early learning and preschool for Tweed Coast families, where children spend their days in the bush and on the beach, eat food cooked in our own kitchen, and are known by name by people who have been here for years.

  • Family owned & operated
  • Two Tweed Coast campuses
  • 6 weeks to school age
  • NSW approved Preschool
  • Bush + Beach Kinder

Why families choose us

What confidence in a childcare centre actually looks like

Not a list of features. Four things you can see for yourself the moment you walk in.

You'll know the people

Two campuses, not twenty. Our managers have 19 and 14 years in early education, and the owners are on site, not in a head office in another state.

The coast is the classroom

Bush Kinder and Beach Kinder take small groups into real environments every week. Children learn to assess risk, move confidently and belong to this place.

Ready for school, and for life

Our NSW approved Preschool program builds the things teachers actually ask for: persistence, self-regulation, curiosity and the confidence to have a go.

Real food, cooked here

Our chefs cook every meal on site each day. Children help plant, pick and prepare, so food is part of the learning, not just the timetable.

Signature programs

Bush Kinder and Beach Kinder

Every week, small groups head out with their educators, into the bush, or down to the water. No plastic equipment, no laminated worksheets. Uneven ground, weather, wildlife, and the sort of problems children have to solve themselves.

  • Real risk, carefully held

Children learn to judge a slippery log or a wave, with educators who know when to step in and when to wait.

  • Deep connection to place

This is their coast. Children learn its plants, its birds, its tides and how to look after it.

  • Confidence that carries

Families tell us the child who climbs the tree on Tuesday is the child who walks into the school gate in Year 1.

The questions parents ask first

Still wondering something? Read all parent questions.
Where is Beach Kids Early Learning located?
Beach Kids has two Tweed Coast campuses: 68 Hastings Road, Bogangar (Cabarita Beach) and 11 Waugh Street, Chinderah, minutes from Kingscliff.
What ages do you care for?
We care for children from around six weeks of age through to school age, including a NSW approved Preschool program in the year before school.
Is Beach Kids family owned?
Yes. Beach Kids is owned and operated by Kelly and Brent Stokes, who live locally on the Tweed Coast. The owners are involved in the campuses day to day rather than a distant corporate office.
What are Bush Kinder and Beach Kinder?
They are our signature outdoor programs. Small groups of children regularly learn in natural bush settings and at the beach, building resilience, risk assessment, confidence and a real connection to the Tweed Coast environment.
Do you provide meals?
Yes. Meals are cooked fresh on site by our own chefs each day, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, with dietary requirements catered for.

The best way to know is to walk through the door

Tours run during the day so you can see the rooms as they really are, busy, calm, noisy, happy. Bring your child. Ask us anything.
