Fees & subsidy

Child Care Subsidy, without the jargon

Most Australian families are eligible for CCS, and it's paid straight to us, so you only ever pay the gap. Here's how to get it sorted before your child's first day.

Getting set up

Four steps to having CCS in place

  1. 1

    Claim through myGov

Log in to your Centrelink online account through myGov and make a Child Care Subsidy claim. Do this as early as you can, it isn't instant.

  2. 2

    Get your CRNs

You'll need a Customer Reference Number for yourself and for your child. We can't enter your enrolment without them.

  3. 3

    We create your enrolment

Once you accept a place, we submit a Complying Written Arrangement with your booked days.

  4. 4

    You confirm in myGov

Confirm the enrolment in your Centrelink account and your subsidy starts flowing against your fees.

What's included

No hidden extras on the invoice

Your daily fee covers all meals cooked on site, nappies, sunscreen, a hat, incursions, specialist experiences and our Bush Kinder and Beach Kinder programs.

We'd rather charge one clear fee than nickel and dime families for things every child should get.

Questions

Fees and subsidy questions

What is the Child Care Subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is an Australian Government payment that reduces the cost of approved child care. It is paid directly to your service, so you only pay the gap between the subsidy and the daily fee.
How much subsidy will I get?
Your percentage depends on your family's combined income, and the hours you can claim depend on your activity level. Services Australia calculates this, we can walk you through how it applies to your booking, but we can't set your rate.
How do I claim it?
Claim through your Centrelink online account via myGov before your child starts. Once you have a CRN for you and your child, we enter your booking and you confirm the enrolment in myGov.
What are Beach Kids' daily fees?
Fees differ by campus and age group and are reviewed periodically. Current daily fees: [CONFIRM WITH BEACH KIDS]. Ask us on tour and we'll give you the exact figures for the days you want.
What is included in the fee?
All meals prepared by our on-site chefs, nappies, sunscreen, hats, incursions and specialist experiences are included. There are no extra charges for our Bush Kinder and Beach Kinder programs.
Do I pay for public holidays and absences?
Fees are generally charged for your booked days including public holidays and absences, which is standard across the sector. CCS covers a set number of absence days each financial year.
