Nursery

The first goodbye is the hardest. We take it seriously.

Our nursery runs on your baby's routine, with educators who learn their cues quickly and tell you everything, because trust is the only thing that makes leaving them possible.

How it works

A familiar face, every single day

Babies settle when the person picking them up is the same person who picked them up yesterday. Our nursery teams are deliberately stable, and each baby has educators who know their sleep signals, their favourite hold and the song that works.

Sleeps happen when your baby is tired. Bottles happen when your baby is hungry. If that changes at home on the weekend, tell us Monday and we change with you.

Nappy changes, feeds, sleeps and moments of delight all land in your app through the day, so the 3pm question “how are they going?” is already answered.

Outside every day

Time on the grass, in the shade and in the fresh coastal air, even for the youngest babies.

Starting out

We go at your baby's pace, not ours

Before the first full day, you and your baby come in for short visits. You stay, you'll see how the room runs, and your baby begins to associate the space with you being relaxed in it.

On the first day you leave, you can call as often as you like. Most families do. We have never minded.

Questions

What new parents ask us

What age can my baby start?
Both Beach Kids campuses care for babies from around six weeks of age. Places in the nursery are limited, so families often join the waitlist during pregnancy.
Do you follow my baby's routine?
Yes. Sleeps, bottles and feeds follow your baby's rhythm, not a centre timetable. You tell us the routine, we keep it going and we tell you exactly what happened each day.
Can I keep breastfeeding?
Absolutely. Families are welcome to come in and feed, and we store and prepare expressed milk following safe handling practice.
How do you handle settling in?
We start with short visits so your baby meets their educators while you're there. We go at your baby's pace, and we'd always rather add another visit than rush the first full day.
